Russian furniture production jumps 27.3 per cent in first three quarters
Recently, at the 34th International Exhibition of Furniture, Fittings and Decorative Materials "Мебель 2023" in Russia, the Association of Wood and Furniture of Russia AMDPR announced the results of production and sales of the country's woodworking industry in the third quarter.
Despite the unstable economic situation, the results of Russian companies in the third quarter of 2023 reached a new high, even leaving behind the level of 2019 before the outbreak of the new crown.
This year, furniture production in Russia grew by 27.3 per cent in the first nine months of the year, and the value of production increased by 19.1 per cent to 307.7 billion rubles (about $24.8 billion). Particleboard production grew by 12 per cent. The production of fibreboard and plywood is almost equal to the level of 2022.
At the same time, the association expects this positive trend to continue until the end of this year.
