The United States maintains high tariffs on Chinese wood furniture
The five members of the US International Trade Commission (ITC) voted unanimously to maintain current US tariffs on Chinese-made wooden furniture.
The decision is part of a tariff review process that reconsiders tariff Settings every five years. The United States has been imposing tariffs on Chinese-made wooden furniture since 2005, which Americans saw as "saving American furniture companies."
"The rescission of existing anti-dumping duty orders on imports of wooden bedroom furniture from China is likely to result in the continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time," the ITC said.
