Us lumber prices hit their lowest levels
According to lumber futures market data on Dec. 14, lumber has fallen to $397 per thousand board feet on the Chicago Board of Trade, likely to be the lowest for the year.
And with winter weather sweeping the world, especially in North America, where construction activity typically drops, lumber prices fall.
All signs show that, at present, North American material prices have fallen to the lowest level in more than two years.
And lumber in North America has been one of the biggest commodity price decliners this year, according to Marketwatch, and the outlook isn't expected to improve anytime soon.
