Among them, the export value of wooden furniture reached 217 million US dollars, an increase of 14.3% compared to last week.
In the first five months of 2024, the highest export revenue for wooden furniture products was wooden frame chairs, reaching 1.3 billion US dollars, with a growth rate of 27.1% in the same period of 2023; Next is wood chips worth 1 billion US dollars, an increase of 35.1%; Living room and dining room furniture reached 1 billion US dollars, an increase of 38.2%; Wood, wooden boards, and flooring amounted to 814.7 million US dollars, an increase of 24.7%; Bedroom furniture reached $772.7 million, an increase of 32.3%.
The strong growth in the United States, China, and the European Union indicates that market demand is rapidly recovering. Among them, the United States remains Vietnam's largest export market for timber and wooden products, with export revenue reaching 3.3 billion US dollars in the first five months of 2024, an increase of 26% compared to the same period in 2023.
